Celebrity Tanya-Marie Designs in Design District

About Tanya-Marie

Jamaican Born Tanya-Marie McLendon has always had fashion in her blood. Even as a former cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat Tanya-Marie was working as a Clothing Buyer and Stylist as well as designing her own personal pieces.

Fifteen years ago she became the Buyer for one of Miami’s most fashion forwarded, high-end store, AZUL boutique. Now as part owner of a 4,000 S.F. store, which is located at the Village of Merrick Park, Coral Gables, catering to a high end clientele largely consisting of celebrities, athletes and their wives and socialites alike. Her design studio is located in the boutique where she creates custom designs for her clientele.

As the buyer for AZUL, she has traveled the world buying designers such as Roberto Cavalli, John Galliano, Dolce & Gabbana and Jean-Paul Gaultier to name a few.

As a Buyer and Stylist she was always challenged to create looks difficult to find in the retail markets. These creations were so well received and sought after that she soon launched her own, aptly named collection, Tanya-Marie designs.

The Tanya-Marie line hangs well with such designers and is selling largely to celebrity driven clientele such as Kimora Lee Simons, Jessica Simpson, Jada Pinket Smith, Kim Porter (Puffy’s girlfriend), Monique Mosley (Timbaland’s wife), many latin actors and singers and several local socialites to name a few.

She is also branching off into the Bridal market. One of the recent projects was the multi million dollar celebrity wedding of Monique Mosley, music executive and wife of musical mogul “Timbaland”
